Privacy

The short version

Eleva helps you run your job search. To do that, it holds your resume, your target role, and the jobs you're working on. That information is private to your account, it is never sold, and it is never used to train anyone's AI models. You can export or delete all of it at any time.

What we collect

Only what the product needs to help you:

• Account: your email address and a hashed password.
• Profile & preferences: your name, target role and titles, industries, location, experience level, salary floor, and work-type preferences.
• Your resume: the text you add and the structured “facts” Eleva assembles from it, which you confirm and edit.
• Your search: jobs you save, their status, your notes, and reusable application answers (you can mark answers sensitive to keep them out of autofill).
• Assistant history: your conversations with Eleva's assistant.
• Uploaded files: any resumes or documents you upload to your private materials area.
• Usage: a monthly count of AI actions, used to apply plan limits.
• Billing: a Stripe customer and subscription identifier. We never see or store your card number — Stripe handles that.

How your resume is processed

Word and text resumes are read in your browser. PDF resumes are sent to a Eleva parsing endpoint that extracts the text and returns it — it does not store the file. The assembled resume is saved to your account only after you keep it. You can review every extracted fact in Settings and remove anything.

Where your data lives and who can access it

Your data is stored with our infrastructure provider (Supabase: a managed Postgres database and private file storage). Every table enforces row-level security, so your rows are readable and writable only by you. Data is encrypted in transit. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.

AI processing

When you take an AI action — a deep read, a tailored rewrite, contact research, mock-interview review, or an assistant message — Eleva sends the relevant text (for example, the job posting and the resume facts it needs) to our AI provider to generate your result. It is used to produce your output, not to train the provider's models. AI can be wrong or incomplete; Eleva is built to be honest about fit and to never invent numbers, claims, or contacts, but you remain the final decision-maker on anything you send.

Payments

Paid plans are processed by Stripe. We store only the identifiers needed to manage your subscription (a customer ID and a subscription ID). Your card details are handled entirely by Stripe under their terms and are never stored by Eleva.

Your rights

You are in control of your data:

• Export: download everything Eleva holds for you, as JSON, from Settings → Account.
• Delete: permanently delete your account and all associated data — profile, resume, saved jobs, answers, assistant history, uploaded files, and usage records — from Settings → Account. This cannot be undone.
• Correct: edit your profile and your confirmed resume facts at any time.

Cookies and sign-in

Eleva uses cookies only to keep you signed in. There is no third-party advertising or cross-site tracking.

Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active so your search is there when you return. When you delete your account, your data is removed.

Changes to this policy

If we make a meaningful change to how we handle your data, we'll update this page and note the date above.
